I enjoy helping children, young adults, teachers, and school staff who struggle with their relationships, careers, education, or behavior issues..
Everyone in life has their own unique story. Sometimes, we need assistance guiding us through those stories. I enjoy helping individuals, children, and teens learn coping skills to manage their struggles in life. I have worked in public education for over twenty years. For the majority of my career, I worked with the special needs population. I began my career as a life skills teacher and later moved into a position as a special education co-teacher.
The focus of my career has been working with students with behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I have also worked with school staff struggling with various problems either in their private life or related to being a public school educator.
With my experience in education and knowledge of the school processes, I can guide in certain aspects of public education (i.e., IEPs, ARDs, 504, etc.). I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, which includes person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapies.
